Claire Smuga
Claire is the program coordinator for Digital Animation and Game Design. She has been a Brookdale professor for 12+ years. Her favorite courses are 3D Modeling, 3D Lighting and Rendering, and anything that lets her get technical and nerdy with her students.

Stacey Kaelin
Stacey is an Adjunct Professor at Brookdale working in multiple departments. She is a traditional and digital artist who loves to teach 3D Modeling and Character Design. She has a special fondness for dark, creepy things and always sees the beauty in a well designed monster

Chad Anderson
Chad Anderson is a college professor, animation geek, poet, video editor & skateboarder from the Jersey Shore. He has worked on a range of editing and visual FX projects for corporate, educational, broadcast, non-profit and military organizations all over the country (and once in Korea). Previous clients have included E! Entertainment, NBC, AMC networks, CNN, The Charlie Rose Show, the WB, The Count Basie Theatre and a film that went straight to video with John Stamos in it. He holds a Master’s in Education from NJCU and has been teaching for over 20 years.

Steven Peterson
Steven is a practicing architect and instructor of all things 3D. He loves a challenge, whether it is one that he is throwing at you, or one that you are throwing at him.

Ceaphas Stubbs
Ceaphas coordinates the Photography program at Brookdale. His work has been shown widely, including in exhibitions at Leslie Lohman Museum, Culver City; Czong Institute for Contemporary Art Museum in South Korea, FiveMyles Gallery, Aljira Center for Contemporary Art, The Print Center, and The Center for Photography at Woodstock, among others. He graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Visual Arts in 2011 and went on to earn an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. He was the recipient of a Christopher Lyon Memorial Award in 2013, and nominated for the Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship in the spring of 2012. Stubbs has completed residencies atSkowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture (2012), Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (2017), The Creative Capital Professional Development Program (2017), and Express Newark (2017-18). His works have been reviewed in The New York Times, Brooklyn Rail, Skowhegan's SPACE/LAUNCH, Expose Magazine, and Agave Magazine. He is a progressive thinker, an abstract animator, and will challenge you–in a good way!

Lauren Rabinowitz
Lauren is a graphic designer and 2D animator. She posts the best things on the Brookdale Discord. She wants her students to be able to tell stories with their images.

Scott Tongue
Scott is a game designer with a background in animation. He loves modern technology. Ask him questions about VR. Seriously.

Samantha Daus
Sam is a current student who is working on our Capstone. She has completed most of her coursework at Brookdale and is looking forward to helping students who are starting out on their artistic careers. Sam has an interest in 3D printing.

Stephanie Radzin
Stephanie has experience in print and digital graphic design, web design and development (HTML, CSS), photography and photo editing, video editing and motion graphics, 2d and 3d animation, 3d modeling, and traditional and digital marketing.

Lab Assistant
Liam Lubitz
Liam graduated from Brookdale in 2020 with an Associate in 3D Animation and Digital Design and from Monmouth University in the summer of 2024 with a BA in Animation. He has been working on smaller commissions and projects to broaden his range of expertise. Currently, he also works at Project REAL, an LGBT outreach center and social space. Liam will be available to assist students during scheduled lab times on campus as well as on Discord.
